UK CRF FAQs

Free stuff for you? Really? Yes, really.
We’re being paid by the UK Government to help you use social media to achieve your business objectives: more sales, more customers, wider reputation, whatever works for you. It’s all part of a UK Government scheme, called UKCRF, and it’s aimed at businesses in selected places around the UK, with training and business promotion offered free of charge.

What's in it for Maybe*?
Maybe* is here to help businesses get more out of social media, so watching you get better and better results on social media makes us happy. But we’re also hoping that you really like what you can do with Maybe* and that you want to carry on using Maybe* after your free access has finished.

Are the grants available for any business in the UK?
No. At the moment we can only offer it to small businesses in these areas of the UK: Aberdeenshire, Dundee, Essex, Herefordshire, North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire. But if your business isn’t based in these places, we still have something useful for you: a range of free social media guides to help you succeed in your business sector and locality. Find out more here.

Is the grant of up to £3,740 really free?
It’s free in the sense that you don’t pay for anything at all, but you’ll need to invest a bit of your time. You must sign up for a free Maybe* account, watch some of our training videos, complete a short online survey and book a call with one of our team.

Does Maybe* get paid?
Yes, your Local Authority pays us to give you free access to our online services, and to help us pay Facebook and Instagram on your behalf for your business promotion.

How do I access the grant?
The grants are made up of free business promotion and access to tools and training on Maybe*. You’ll need to do a few things to access the different grants available:

Free business promotion:
150 businesses (in each grant area) can claim up to £2,640 of free promotion on Facebook/Instagram: Sign up, watch the welcome video, set up your Maybe* account, complete our short survey and book a call with our team.

Free access to Maybe* tools and training:
5,500 businesses (in each grant area) can claim free access to Maybe* worth up to £1,140.

Sign up, watch the welcome video, set up your Maybe* account, complete our short survey, and book a call with our team.

There’s a limited number of grants up for grabs. This means it’s strictly first come, first served, when the business promotion grants run out, you may still be eligible for access to Maybe* and unlimited training for free.

Don’t worry, we’ll hold your hand along the way and prompt you to book calls with our team to get you that grant!
