Top social media tips from a local brow bar and an indie menswear retailer

Morrows owner Philip has realised the power of investing in product imagery can have on your sales. He's always been averse to spending money on expensive photoshoots and videography for social media because he wasn’t sure of the return.

But, after investing in a photoshoot and running a carousel ad on Facebook and creating a video for organic use on Instagram and Linked In, the store's online sales rocketed during the pandemic by up to 280%.

Top tip: Invest your time and money in social media if you have a product you can sell online.

Niche Brow Bar - an independent brow specialist in Shawlands, Glasgow

Heather, owner of Niche Brow Bar in Shawlands, Glasgow has realised the power that her wider team has to offer via social media and created a template for each team member which had a list of their skills, their target customer, the brand values and key messages to use on social media.

This means that collectively they have more reach on social media, their posts have a bigger impact on Niche Brow Bar's social weight and they appeal to slightly different customers meaning they can truly cater to all. 

Top tip: If your team are at the heart of your business, involve them in social media either through video, images, content or them having their own channels and tagging in your business.
